| Sasamorpha Genus - Generally listed with only 1 species, I obtained a plant a couple of years back that was misidentified as a form of Sasa veitchii. I now believe it to be a variegated form of Sasamorpha borealis and will treat it as such until the official word comes down. It came as a fairly unhealthy plant and has been very slow to get going but the acknowledged species Sasamorpha borealis has established nicely for me in heavy sun. Yet another broad-leaf shrub species which I am quite fond of. Often listed as hardy to -10F, I suspect that this is overstated somewhat. |
